My clients owned a substantial four bedroom semi detached house with attic storage space in Liberton, Edinburgh. There was just one family bathroom on the upper floor and with their frequent guests, this was not enough.

One bedroom on the first floor was sacrificed to create a new stair and ensuite shower room and walk in robe. A further two bedrooms and ensuite were created in the attic. The existing cupola was refurbished to form two roof lights in the attic bedrooms. A raised shelf in the second attic bedroom allows enough headroom on the stair below and maximises the space available in the bedroom.
