I’m Lisa Young, an architect and mum based in Edinburgh.
I create architecture that celebrates everyday life.
I established ArchiLife in 2013. I specialise in house extensions, attic conversions and internal alterations because I want to help clients like you get the most out of your home through imaginative and cost effective design. I love it when a few small changes transform how a space functions, be that adding an extra room or rearranging the existing rooms.
As a mum, I understand the demands of everyday family life. There’s always a need for more storage, better organisation, and spaces that can adapt as your family grows. I design homes that work for the way you live.
Sustainable design is important to me. Not just because it helps reduce the impact on the environment, but because it can also create homes that are healthier, more comfortable and more efficient to live in. Making the most of what you already have is often one of the most sustainable choices you can make.
When I’m not designing homes or spending time with my children, I love relaxing somewhere scenic with my watercolours and sketchbook.
